You’re an experienced accountant, wanting a new challenge to absorb you for 24 hours a week, all for a brilliant small business close to home.
Where you can use your knowledge to be that sole finance person, providing all the transactional support on Xero for a £5m turnover international consultancy.
That’s everything from ledger work, to cashflow forecasting, month-end reporting, VAT returns and helping with annual budgets. Payroll is outsourced and will stay that way.
Almost their entire client base is overseas. Think £ multi-billion corporations and £ multi-million smaller businesses, so you’ll need to be confident working in multiple currencies.
Clients won because the two founders are experts in their field and have built a solid, capable, small team in Cambridge and around the globe to deliver exceptional service.
The role of Finance Manager is currently undertaken externally, and they want to hire someone dedicated, on-site, although you’ll be able to work from home some of the week too.
The business day is eight hours, with the expectation that you’ll work three full days (24 hours). But if you prefer, you can split your time across five days a week. If you’re the right person, they want to be flexible.

It’s a small business, with a statutory NEST pension. Annual leave is 25 days plus eight bank holidays (full-time equivalent).
And if in time you decide you want to expand your duties and hours, there’s plenty to do here, and it’s possible.
