Friday 18th September 2026
£28,000 per Annum
You're experienced across the sales ledger and purchase ledger and wish to move to a company where you're allowed autonomy in your work, have a nice team, and where the workload is busy but not punishing.
It's this job.
Handling a high-volume sales ledger, keeping on top of cash allocations, customer refunds, and managing accounts on stop and aged debtors.
You'll also cover the high-volume area of the purchase ledger and import and export invoices.
All on their bespoke IT system, which you'll be trained to use.
You'll be someone the lively accounts department can rely upon, and, in turn, you'll be valued, appreciated and can expect enjoyment in your work.
We're not hung up about accountancy qualifications but want someone hard-working, dedicated and willing to learn new skills.
Your boss is a friendly, empathetic and good-humoured person who wants you to succeed.
This is a very secure and profitable business which is run as much for its staff as its customers, rewarding people well.
You can expect to be part of a profit share scheme (which has historically paid out every year), 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays (saving 5 days for Christmas close), and a statutory pension scheme, which, if you contribute towards it, you also get death in service 5 x salary.
It's 100% office-based, with free parking next to the building and great public transport links.
We know that in accounts there are busy times, at month-end and year-end, for example, but when it's quiet on a Friday afternoon, it's not unusual to finish early.
The team enjoy the odd social, including a lunch off-site at the end of the quarter, where company results are shared.
All applicants receive a response. And if you have the suitable experience required for the short-list, you'll be asked to book a telephone call with the recruiter to chat it through and make sure it meets your expectations.
