The headline figures show:
- Slight increase in perm placements, while temp billings growth improves
- Strongest upturn in permanent starters' pay since January
- Staff availability continues to rise markedly amid further drop in vacancies
Confidence is slowly returning.
From my communication with businesses, it's not blanket optimism, with many owners buckling under the additional running costs and taxes.
But it's there, according to what we're seeing and what my fellow recruiters across the country are seeing.
