KPMG & REC Report on Jobs July 2025

The headline figures evidence:

  • Supply of labour expands at the steepest rate since November 2020

  • Permanent placements drop at fastest pace in 22 months

  • Pay growth weakens for perm and temp staff

There's more uncertainty ahead with the autumn budget and the Employment Rights Bill. I therefore don't expect these figures to improve soon.

However, the Government's new road map for the Bill may help to alleviate some concerns for businesses around timescales for the proposed changes. And I've attached this for your ease of reference.
