KPMG & REC Report on Jobs March 2021
Clare Wight says
"2021 has been an incredibly challenging year so far for the recruitment industry.
Jobs are not in the abundance they were twelve months ago after the general election and Brexit (after our third extension). The world felt so much more certain.
"And, worse still, the availability of candidates is tighter now than ever before.
"Little is likely to change in this respect until businesses can reopen and the furlough scheme ends. But the recruitment industry is resilient, recruiters are resilient, and we're all up-skilling, investing in technology and getting ready for the opportunities that will come about later in the year."
