For you to move jobs in the middle of a pandemic, it’d have to be something a bit special, wouldn’t it?
A number one finance position perhaps, that has been created for you. You, with your accountancy qualification, and some PQE, looking for the next step in your career.
Brand spanking new, in two associated, very well-established and respected businesses that have an ambitious three-year plan that you’ll help execute, and where you’ll have key-worker status.
Almost risk-free then, with career progression, working closely with the directors and part of an organisation that is really going places.
Yes, you’ll be budgeting, forecasting and analysing, but you’ll also be putting processes in place, building your team and absolutely integral to business strategy. Whether that be reviewing the pricing model, exploring an additional office site or getting Xero to integrate better with their CRM system. Right across two service-based businesses that have a total turnover just shy of £7m and employ over 60 staff.
An organisation that delivers exceptional customer service, winning new work and are seeing huge growth. And are aware that you have ambition and drive and want to feed that. Where you’ll use your existing skills and build on them quickly, supporting the CEO’s and senior management team to reach clear objectives.
Being part of success.
But this opportunity is only for you if you can see yourself working for a highly personable boss within an SME that genuinely cares for its team. Where they offer flexibility in your working week and want to see you succeed personally and professionally, whether you want to be FD in the short to medium term or need to juggle the school runs. Core hours are 8 am to 6.30 pm and you’ll flex your 7.5 hours with 60-minute break accordingly.
Within offices that are modern, exercising safe distancing (of course) for the days you’re there (working from home regularly is accommodated on an ongoing basis). Conveniently located near the Cambridge North railway station, in the city of Cambridge, close to the A14, cycle and bus routes and plenty of parking for you if you drive. If you cycle to work or like a run in your lunch hour, you’re catered for with showers.
Prefer lunch spent in a local café? Done. Or use the lovely kitchen facilities with the full fridge.
And of course, you’ll get the good stuff like healthcare and life insurance.
