Audit & Accounts Senior

Industry Sector: Accounts

Bedford, Bedfordshire

Job Ref: J2669

What are you doing looking through this job advert? Dipping your toe in the water to see what's out there?

Maybe you'd like to be doing more or less audit than you're currently split. And you'd like to readjust that balance.

Or you're fed up of working for a stuffy firm that doesn't comprehend that in 2019 flexible working and dress down is all the rage.

Perhaps you'd like some bigger audits. Or working in a bigger team to be supported and continue to learn.

It's possible your clients are a bit smaller than you'd like or you'd like to specialise more.

How about the fact there's not much room for progression in your firm. You'll be planing retirement before you'll ever make partner.

You like the idea of doing more for your community and a practice that gave you paid time to do this would be really cool.

The practice you're working for seems to be contracting rather than growing. That's worrying and it means a bleak or boring future for you.

We don't really need to list all the duties you undertake day to day here. In this spot. But the job boards pretty much insist on it.

So, to be sure before you apply, you'll be managing the workload of junior staff to complete accounts for a range of businesses including sole traders, limited companies, LLP's including management accounts and statutory reporting. The audit work, well that's attending customer premises for a couple of weeks to be avoided at all cost because they're scared of you. Ensuring hours are correctly accounted for during the process, signing sections of work off, producing commentary. Etc. etc.

Before applying, you need to know that your future is bright. Working at a firm where you will be HEARD. Where they dedicate resources to learning about their employees from anonymous surveys to internal champions, so they can improve the working environment, with recent changes including modernising the dress code and trialling a truly flexible working programme.

You’ll get 33 days holiday including 8 bank holidays, with the opportunity to buy or sell up to 5 days, have access to an incredibly generous referral scheme, along with employee incentives and bonuses.

Flexible working including part time will be considered.

Apply now to be considered! All applications will receive a response.
